Angel left Sunday for Kentucky. His family took him to the airport, they were able to meet Rosemary Vance from COTA who was accompanying him on the flight and visit again with Aida from COTA who had done so much work to get Angel his visit.
Angel called his family later that afternoon to tell them that he had arrived in Miami and was waiting for his flight to Kentucky.
Here is the update from COTA President, Jody Green.
Dear Sharon,
Angel is great, I spent the morning with him taking him to first the
surgeon and then the oral surgeon. His case is a bit more complicated than we originally thought but we will work it out. He needs an external jaw fixator applied, several infected teeth pulled, and the piece of hardware surgically removed from his cheek where it is embedded. He is eating well, is his usual quiet self, and is very
compliant with care, questions and directions. We had a translator
with us today so that helped. The 2 surgeons are going to communicate and let me know the plan of action. I took lots of photos but am out of town for a few days and will post them for his mom on Saturday. Jody.

That last picture just breaks my heart. Kentucky will take good care of Angel. I can’t wait until he is out of pain.

Anyone know any updates on Angel? What was wrong with him and was it corrected? He looks like a very nice young man! I hope his family has him back now and that he’s out of whatever sort of pain he was in! God bless you!
